As an aerospace research organization, National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) of United States has been making progress in development of aluminum alloy and welding techniques used in space vehicle since the middle of last century. The article, by brief introduction of friction stir welding and its variants as well as its application on Ares, Delta and Space Launch System in NASA, intends to provide reference and inspiration for aerospace aluminum alloy welding in China. |
